摩利支天は陽炎を神格化した天部の尊。
日天と共に帝釈天の眷属である。 司るモノが多岐にわたるが、陽炎・太陽光・月光などの象徴としての存在と、持物(扇や弓等)の関係もあり 風神の化身としても現わされてきた。 天女神と武神の二面性があり、ジェンダー的にはどちらでもあるといえる特異な存在である。 摩利支天が守護する光というマテリアルを物質として捉え、表現してみようというコンセプトのもと今回の作品は 制作されています。 陽炎・太陽光・月光という3種類のマテリアルに対応する摩利支天の胸像(Marici)を制作。 光と風の波長・波紋、それら目には見えない現象を結晶化させた立体と、Mariciを融合させた 立体インスタレーション作品です。

Together with Nichiten, he is a dependent of Teishakuten. Although Marishiten's role is diverse, he is also an incarnation of the wind god due to his symbolic presence of yang-nyang, sunlight, and moonlight, as well as his possessions (fan, bow, etc.). She has the dual nature of a heavenly goddess and a warrior goddess, and in terms of gender, she is a unique being that can be said to be either. This work was created based on the concept of expressing the material of light, which Marishiten protects, as a material. The bust of Marici, which corresponds to three types of material: shimmer, sunlight, and moonlight, was created. Marici is a three-dimensional installation work that fuses Marici with a three-dimensional object crystallizing the wavelengths of light and wind, ripples, and other phenomena invisible to the eye.
