BLUE_1964の素材は1964年開催の第１８回オリンピック東京大会の新聞(1964年10月10~24日発行)を使用。新聞記事は当時の盛り上がりや熱気、もう「戦後」とは言わせない日本の敗戦からの立ち直りを象徴するような文面を選んで使用しました。
開会式で五輪マークを青空に作った1964年当時航空自衛隊 で使われていたブルーインパルス (F-86F-40 セイバー)をモチーフに制作。


足立篤史　
1988年横須賀市生まれ。
2014年東京造形大学美術学科彫刻専攻卒業、東京造形大学卒業研究・卒業制作展「ZOKEI賞」受賞。

The material for BLUE_1964 was taken from newspapers of the 18th Olympic Games held in Tokyo in 1964 (published from October 10 to 24, 1964). The newspaper articles were selected to symbolize the excitement and enthusiasm of the time, and Japan's recovery from the defeat of the war, which can no longer be called “postwar”.
The motif of the Blue Impulse (F-86F-40 Sabre) used by the Air Self-Defense Force in 1964, which made the Olympic mark in the blue sky at the opening ceremony, was used in the design.


Atsushi Adachi　
Born in Yokosuka, Japan in 1988.
Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University in 2014, majoring in sculpture, and received the “ZOKEI Prize” at the Tokyo Zokei University Graduation Research and Graduation Works Exhibition.
