焔摩天または閻魔天(えんまてん)は、インドのヤーマが仏教に取り入れられ、 天部の一人となったものである。 密教において十二天の一人となり、閻魔天供の本尊とされる。 なおヤーマは別のルートでも仏教に取り入れられ、閻魔となった。 胎蔵曼荼羅の南方に配置され、六欲天の(下から)第3天に住み、この天をまた焔摩天と呼ぶ。

Enma-ten or Yama-ten is one of the twelve heavenly deities in Esoteric Buddhism. In esoteric Buddhism, Yama is one of the Twelve Devas and is the principal deity of Yama's heavenly offerings. Yama was also introduced into Buddhism by another route and became Yama. He is placed in the southern part of the Vajrayana Mandala and lives in the third heaven of the six desire heavens (from the bottom), and this heaven is also called Enma-ten.
