山上渡／Wataru Yamakami「Piece of cosmos」

土井直也は、目に見える相対的な事象に対して、パラドキシカルな本質を見出し、新しい入れ物として、 パターンカッティングの技術によって、オブジェを解体・再構築することで「仮」の状態を可視化し、物事の価値や本質について考察し制作する。布を主な素材として使用する土井は、今回、アパレル縫製工場で出た廃棄されてきた裁断片を使い、インスタレーション作品「あの衣服のゆくえ　after clothing」を制作。また、Tシャツに裁断片を炭にした材でパターンをプリントし縫い合わせていくことで文字が完成する全く新しい形のオブジェを発表。ヒルトン東京の展示に合わせTOKYOの5文字をそれぞれのパターンで制作「T in shirt "TOKYO“」を発表する。 2024年7月4日～7月14日の間、EARTH＋GALLERYにて土井直也個展開催を予定。 「T in shirt "TOKYO“」 Cotton, charcoal, thread, water soluble thread 18 x 18 cm each 2023 Naoya Doi finds paradoxical essence in visible relative phenomena, and visualizes the "temporary" state by dismantling and reconstructing objects using pattern cutting techniques as new containers, and examines and creates works about the value and essence of things. Doi, who mainly uses cloth as his main material, created an installation work, "whereabouts of that clothing after clothing," using discarded cut-off pieces from an apparel sewing factory. He also presented a completely new type of objet d'art, in which patterns are printed on T-shirts using charcoal made from the shredded pieces and sewn together to form letters. In conjunction with the exhibition at the Hilton Tokyo, he will present "T in shirt "TOKYO,"" a series of five letters of TOKYO, each printed in its own pattern. Naoya Doi's solo exhibition is scheduled to be held at EARTH+GALLERY from July 4 to July 14, 2024.

下野友嗣 /Yuji Shimono 「mature Answers to Existential Problems 4/24 04 2023」

下野友嗣は、錆を主な素材とし、「鉄を 食べるバクテリアの種類が地球上の全生物の祖先」という説を信じて表現を試みる作家です。錆を内部(内的世界)と外部(外的世界)の接続部分であり、内的世界が外部に現れる様、その痕跡と捉えます。 それは、彼自身の子供時代の遊びの中に見出され、また 19 年前の阪神淡路大震災の被災体験、そして大学時代、病床の母への回復を祈り開催した初個展とその制作に遡ります。「病気がどんどん進行していき、衰えていく母親をみて、死を身近に感じました。 同時に助けたいと思い物理的には、無理とわかっていながらもいい作品を作ると助かるように感じて、熊の作品を作り続けました。 熊 ( シャーマン ) が助けてくれるような気がして。」 しかし、母が他界した後それは作家にとって虚ろな像となったと言います。その後は鉄錆の美しさを主体にし、他の素材と組み合 わせた鉄錆独特の現れ、還元などの化学変化を応用し表現を試みました。そう して熊をはじめとする生き物のモチーフは、作家にとって願いの象徴から、自身の祈りの痕跡へと変遷していきます。 【UP CYCLE CHARCOAL ART PROJECTについて】 様々なアーティストによるSDGsプロジェクト「UP CYCLE CHARCOAL ART PROJECT」の第一弾として、廃棄されてきた服の裁断片から生まれた「再生繊維炭」を画材に、６名のアーティストがそれぞれの表現に挑戦しました。 日本の衣料廃棄物は年間 50万㌧を超えると推計され、焼却・埋め立て処分されるのは 90％以上。炭という素材へと再生し、アーティストの発想で新たな作品へと生まれ変わります。 下野は、この繊維から再生された炭を、砕いたり染料のように使うより、科学実験のように最終的にどうなるのかわからない方法で再生炭を使いたいと考え、自身の制作方法で、チタンやステンレスの色を変えたい物質と一緒に熱を加える事で色が変化していく事が出来たことより、再生炭でも出来ないかと思い実験しました。結果は殆ど色の変化なく終了。結論としては再生炭の素材的に光を通しにくいため、色が変わりにくかったのが一番の原因ではないかと考えました。絵の具作りとは実験の連続。下野は、このプロジェクトから絵具屋さんの偉大さを痛感したといいます。 「mature Answers to Existential Problems 4/24 04 2023」 2023年制作 水彩用紙　鉄錆　墨　アクリル　石油系塗料　再生炭　油彩　 290×210　 額装込み 作品は、EARTH＋GALLERYにて展示 会期 ：2023年4月1日(土)〜　小部屋展示スペースと2階一部スペースにて常設 OPEN ：木・金・土・日　TIME：12:00〜18:00 CLOSE：月・火・水、貸切展示イベント時 ※詳細はHPまたはSNSをご覧ください。 会場　 ：EARTH＋GALLERY （東京都江東区木場3-18-17 1F）

SUZU-MOJIは、甲骨文字をベースに、空間の流れの中に存在し私たちに寄り添う文字の姿や気配を表現する文字創作作家です。 「軌(わだち) -再生炭の軌跡-」をテーマに、これまでの姿から新たな姿へ変化し私たちの生活と共に存在していくよう、過去から未来への歩みを軌跡として、「山」と「環」を描いた。山はこれまで多くの端材が廃棄されてきた姿を映し出す。「環」は襟元に呪力を宿した玉と大きな眼を描いた文字であり、生命は眼に力を宿すものとして、玉と大きな目で還魂とされていた。再生炭は廃棄されるはずだった端材が新たな形へ生まれ変わり、これからもめぐりつづける。新たな命となった再生炭を眼に宿し社会を見つめていく。今回、初の試みとしてアルミ板に文字を描いた。再生炭、墨、水、金属用塗料を使い、紙とは異なりクールな印象になったが、より文字が生き物のように立体的で血が通ったものして魅せることができたという。 【UP CYCLE CHARCOAL ART PROJECTについて】 様々なアーティストによるSDGsプロジェクト「UP CYCLE CHARCOAL ART PROJECT」の第一弾として、廃棄されてきた服の裁断片から生まれた「再生繊維炭」を画材に、６名のアーティストがそれぞれの表現に挑戦しました。 日本の衣料廃棄物は年間 50万㌧を超えると推計され、焼却・埋め立て処分されるのは 90％以上。炭という素材へと再生し、アーティストの発想で新たな作品へと生まれ変わります。 作品は、EARTH＋GALLERYにて展示 会期 ：2023年4月1日(土)〜　小部屋展示スペースと2階一部スペースにて常設 OPEN ：木・金・土・日　TIME：12:00〜18:00 CLOSE：月・火・水、貸切展示イベント時 ※詳細はHPまたはSNSをご覧ください。 会場　 ：EARTH＋GALLERY （東京都江東区木場3-18-17 1F）

下野友嗣 /Yuji Shimono 「shaman 6/8　04　2023」

2023年制作　 水彩用紙　鉄錆　墨　蜜蝋　ダンマル　アクリル　石油系塗料　油彩　 サイズ：1120×880　 シャーマン　 「シャーマン」は２０１０年に制作した「あいさつをする熊」と全く同じ熊の形を切り取った鉄板を使い制作しています。何が違うのかと言うと、人間も含めてすべての生物はモノタイプの版画であると考えて、人工的に作られた合成樹脂で塗りたぐられた紙をくちゃくちゃに丸めて広げる。その画面の上にそれぞれの動物の印鑑を押す。また、ドーキンスの「利己的な遺伝子」の本の中に書かれている自己複製子が延長された表現形態「ミーモ」のように類似する物として生成されていき、それぞれの絵の画面から太古の昔、何もない地球の大地から生命が生まれたように萌芽を願い制作しました。 (今回展示の新作すべて同じ考え方です) 今回の熊は、「あいさつをする熊」と同じ考え方で、贈与の象徴的な動物の熊を画面に印鑑しており、熊の周りの白い膜はアクリルメディウムが科学変化して色が変わったものであり、画面の世界と見る鑑賞者を繋ぐものであり、人間には観測できない暗黒エネルギーを表現しています。
